This "Our Home Sweet Home" wall hanging has two layers. The front layer is cut from 1/-2-inch-thick red oak, with the lettering cut by hand on a scroll saw into the shape of a house. Behind that is a 1/4-inch-thick poplar backer painted navy blue for contrast. There are two eyelets at the top from which you can thread a string to hang the sign.
The sign is 7 1/2 inches high, 7 inches wide, and 3/4 inch thick. It has been completed with a spray polyurethane finish to preserve the wood for many years.
